Fly to Pro International Airport and spend 1 hour transferring to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan with your tour guide. Visit Kuensel Phodrang, Tashichhoe Dzong and a local craft bazaar after checking in your hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive to Genekha Village to start this trek. You can admire beautiful valley view on a huge rock 3 hours after the trek, and you will get to Gur, with an altitude of 4300 meters, in another 2 hours. Walking around the pasture of Gur and seeing yaks grazing may help you to refresh.

Today’s the altitude will not change drastically during the trek. You will have a grand view of Mounts Dagala and Kanchenjunga. It is ok to take a rest in the huts for herders during the trek. The destination today is the Lake Uthso Tsho, where you will stay overnight. Normally, it takes 5 hours for this 12-kilometer-long trek.

Today, you will stay at Uthso Tsho for a forest. There are several lakes for fishing near Utshso Tsho. If you want to join in this activity, please let us know when you book the trek tour, because we need to apply for fishing permit for you.

Restart the trek by a short climb to a peak with an altitude of 4720 meters. Several giant mountains are visible on that peak, including the Mount Everest. You can also stay at 4520-meter-high place for a rest or sightseeing if you do not want to trek to that peak. After today’s 8-kilometer-long trek, you will arrive at Panka, where the altitude goes down to 4050 meters.

You will trek through several mountain passes today before finally reaching the Talakha Monastery, where you will camp tonight. With an altitude of 3650 meters, the Talakha Monastery offers you beautiful sceneries. It takes only around 6 hours to finish today’s 8-kilometer-long trek.

You might be woken up by the monks’ chanting this morning. After breakfast, you will hike to the Chamgang Village to catch your car and drive to Thimphu for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the National Chorten and Motithang Zoo. After 5 days, you can finally stay in a hotel room tonight.

Spend 2.5 hours driving from Thimphu to Punakha through the Dochula Pass, admiring the 108 chortens and Himalaya Mountain ranges on your way.
Take a short hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten, which was built in a painting-like Punakha Valley. Local people believe the Chorten can remove negative forces and promote peace, stability and harmony in the changing world.
After lunch, visit the Punakha Dzong, a historical site survived 4 fires and 1 earthquake. The Dzong is open for visitors during Punakha festival and in summer months when the monk body moves to Thimphu.

Today, you will take 4 hours’ car ride to Paro and visit Drukgyel Dzong and Dumtseg Lhakhang, two renowned local monasteries.

Around 2.5 hours’ hiking are needed to reach Taktsang Monastery, the most famous religious relic in Bhutan. It is possible to take a rest at the view terrace, which is located on the half point of the hiking route. You could also visit Kyichu Temple during the hike. The sceneries will not let you down.
